Brass fiber: brass fiber is softer than steel or stainless steel fiber, and thus provides brushing that does not scratch hard metals. Our brass wire is of a 062 alloy with 0.02% copper and 0.02% zinc. If the workpiece material is brass or copper, then brass wire is the best choice. Brass wire (and bronze wire too) does not create sparks, nor does it damage metallic surfaces. In addition, it is suitable for applications with reduced static electricity. Brass is suitable for use in environments in which the temperature goes up to a fixed temperature of 88°C (190F). Bronze wire has relatively high resistance to corrosion.
