A wide variety of methods exist for improving the surface finish of small or large components. Surface treatment is intended to prevent corrosion, and assist in removing unnecessary pieces or shavings. Treatment may be carried out with a wide variety of brushes – from steel, stainless steel or abrasive fiber. In some industries, surface treatment is performed as part of the manufacturing process, whereas in others it is done only after parts or products are completed.
